Weekly Coffee Chat-Christmas

Hi gang,
Sorry for the delay, thanks to my health I have gotten behind on my blogging.
One of these days, I will get a set schedule, maybe. Luckily, I'll see an eye doctor and a doctor within the next two weeks.

This week's topic is Christmas. I noticed over the years that the holiday season tends to start earlier and earlier. Next thing we'll see is Halloween will be taken over by Christmas. lol

I admit, I listen to Christmas music starting on Labor Day weekend. Weird thing is, I don't believe in God, but I still like to celebrate the holiday.
My take on Christmas is this:
Most people believe that Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
I believe that Christmas is to celebrate peace and love for all of us.

I was craving a good Christmas story, but not the kind about finding God.
Then, I got lucky and won an arc copy of Six Cats a Slayin by Miranda James.

You can read my review of it here. If you want a heart warming story with an amazing twist, then I highly recommend it.

So, now I am completely hooked on these kinds of stories. It was just what I needed.

So, my questions for all of you is, when do you start reading Christmas themed stories? And how soon do you start getting into the holiday season? Do you have a favorite novel you'd like to share? Please post the answers in the comments thanks!

Oh and if you are an author or know of one, who writes these kinds of stories, and are willing to give a free book for a review, please check my book review info page. I'd love to share yours to all my social media. Thanks bunches!

Happy Holidays!
Renee

    1. I hear ya, sometimes it's still too hot to get in the spirit, during September.

  2. Christmas is my holiday for many reasons, including the religious aspect of it, and I will admit to having listened to Christmas music in the summer a few times.

  4. I usually wait until December before pulling out any Christmas-themed books or music. And I'm in the same boat when it comes to setting schedules! Maybe I'll get the hang of it one of these days. ha!
